What is included in a mix
Every mix at Studio 22 Southport starts with your stems and is built from the ground up to suit your genre and artistic vision. This is not a preset-driven process. Each track is mixed by ear with careful attention to balance, clarity and emotion.

Listen back and request changes. Two rounds of revisions included.
Who this is for
Studio 22 Southport's mixing service is designed for artists, producers and bands who have recorded tracks and need them mixed to a professional, release-ready standard. Whether you are an independent artist releasing on DistroKid, a rapper who has recorded vocals over a beat, or a band with multitrack recordings, this service takes your raw stems and turns them into a finished mix.
The studio specialises in UK house, organ house, piano house, pop and urban music, but all genres are welcome. Mitch Collinge has over 14 years of mixing experience and currently produces new music for Bad Boy Chiller Crew with a publishing deal through Kobalt/Kosign.
Online mixing available worldwide
You do not need to be in Southport to use this service. Upload your stems via Google Drive or WeTransfer, include reference tracks and notes, and receive your mix back within 48 hours. Clients across Merseyside, Liverpool, the North West and the rest of the UK regularly use this service.
How to send your files
File format
Export your stems as WAV files at the same sample rate and bit depth as your session. 44.1kHz/24-bit minimum. Do not send MP3s.
What to include
Send all individual tracks bounced from the start of the session so everything lines up. Label your files clearly. Remove any master bus processing unless intentional.
Reference tracks
Include one or two commercial tracks that represent the sound you are aiming for. This helps the mix get closer to your vision on the first pass.
Common questions about mixing
How long does mixing take?
Most mixes are delivered within 48 hours. Complex projects may take slightly longer.
What is the difference between mixing and mastering?
Mixing works with individual stems to create a balanced stereo mix. Mastering optimises the finished mix for distribution. Studio 22 Southport offers both separately or as a combined mix and master package.
Can you mix tracks recorded in a home studio?
Yes. A large proportion of mixes come from home recordings. Professional mixing can dramatically improve tracks recorded outside a studio environment.
What if I need more than two revisions?
Additional revisions beyond the included two are available at a reduced rate.
